I will be at the Kingston Farmers Market this Thursday June 27th and have a few new and fun items for this week's theme: Strawberries! Check out the KFM activities and grab some fresh berries and groceries.

About the artwork: I have always been curious and amazed with the idea of companion planting - foods and flowers that grow well side by side. Although strawberries and chives have numerous companion plants each I like the pairing of these two edibles with their contrasting colours of bloom and berry. 

New greeting cards with a strawberry theme will also be available starting this week.

This week is the start of our local Kingston Farmers Market. I volunteer my time to help set up for this fabulous market, and I also vend my illustrations and jewellery. 

There is a lot parking just a short walk from the grounds. All the details can be found here, or send me a note and I will fill you in.

Passementerie Chickadee Rhododendrons

Chickadees have a sweet song and personality - they appear to get along with other birds and are always the first to seemingly chirp 'thank-you' when you refill the feeder. Endlessly jotting in and out of the rhododendrons these chickadees are tying tassels!
