September. As I prepare for the winter season I will be missing out on vending for a few weeks. If you are looking for my greeting cards, stickers, notepads or wall pieces send me a message and we can make some arrangements. OR if you are in the Kingston NS area go to the Nova Scotia Pantry (open 12-4) in Greenwood across from the Greenwood Mall.

Limited edition reproductions of my watercolour images have been mounted onto wood panels, 8x8", and square frames, 9.5 x 9.5". I only make 10 of each image in each size - and currently have just a few left of some pieces. Thank-you to everyone who was able to buy directly from me this summer. And, thank-you for buying local!

Zinnia pen sketch coloured in Procreate 2024

Zinnia in bloom 2024

Flowers! A never ending source of inspiration. I have been adding more flower cards to the cardsbylesley collection over the past few weeks. Of late I have been combining my digital drawings with watercolour paintings and pen and ink sketches as a way to play with colour palettes and repeat patterns.

I will be vending at the Kingston Farmers Market NS Thursday August 29th 3-7pm.

How does it all happen? What goes into each cardsbylesley greeting design.

It all starts with an idea, then the task of drawing and creating takes over. I sketch a lot and use both an old fashioned watercolour set and digital drawing apps and programs to colour and place my designs onto a greeting card format. I then cut the paper, print, score, and package the final cards. All these steps take a long time, but when the result is a greeting card that can make others smile or share a sentiment it is always worth the time and effort.

I hope you have enjoyed gifting the cards you buy from me.

I will be vending this week at the Kingston Farmers Market NS, 3-7pm.
